Trade Agreement Requirements QuestionQuestion: I thought I understood the requirements for a Trade Agreement. My capitol is currently on the River and I am trying to trade with someone just down the river. Both of us have free slots. Why can I not trade with them? What am I missing?
Rant/Thoughts: To my knowledge you need to either be adjacent or have both of your capitols on the river in order to trade with someone, and that is the only requirement. Is this incorrect? Do you both need an actual trade good or something? Annoying that I am missing out on potential enconomy because the game is not detailed and clear about the objective rules in place.
Thank you for taking the time to read/respond to this thread.
Bonus Question: Is there any mechanic for "controlling" the Han Emperor?

It says you have to share a border with them. Something may also be disrupting the route? I have 2 trade agreements that are currently suspended and it says that either a land or sea route is disrupted between the capitals.

Bonus Answer: Capture the settlement he is in and he will be relocated to your capital. He will remain there, forcing the Han Empire to be your vassal, until someone else manages to capture him or until the Three Kingdoms Era begins, at which point he abdicates and the Han Empire becomes just another faction.
Which I managed to confederate as Liu Bei whilst pressing down on Sun Jian's newly established Kingdom of Wu. Squashed him between the two halves of my suddenly-vast lands whilst Yuan Shao and the Gongsun clans battled it out for the glory of being the northern power.

So I captured the Han Emperor as Kong. and now I keep getting pulled into a ton of wars that I cannot refuse because factions want to eat the Han. This feels really broken, it actually seems terrible to have him in my posession

Wait, you can't decline wars that the Han "drag" you into? How?
People are declaring war on Han (My vassal now) and all I can do is acknowledge it. I cant drop the Han as a vassal so basically im at war with all the major factions. I peace out with a faction and 2 turns later they declare war on the Han again. Im kinda screwed.
